Customer Service Representative - Trucking Insurance

Darr Schackow Insurance is seeking an Entry Level Customer Service Representative for our growing national Trucking Insurance Division.  In this role you will have the opportunity to learn the Insurance Industry, be a part of a dynamic Customer Service team that supports our Trucking Insurance Agents, and receive extensive training that will help you grow your professional career with Darr Schackow Insurance!  ***Please note that this is NOT a call center type customer service role***.

The Opportunity

You will have the opportunity to receive extensive training that will teach you all about the Insurance Industry!  You will work as part of a team of talented and passionate Customer Service Representatives that support our Trucking Insurance Agents and provide stellar customer service to our Clients.  Below are some of the responsibilities that this role will have regularly:

  • Handle a high volume of incoming client calls
  • Handle requests for Certificates of Insurance  
  • Processing client payments
  • Assisting Trucking Agents with New Business Quoting online
  • Running Motor Vehicle Records
  • Handle pending policy cancels
  • Entering information in our our Agency Mgmt System
  • Making follow-up calls to clients and insurance carriers
  • Other misc administrative tasks as assigned

To be successful in this role you need to be Technologically savvy, have self-motivated discipline towards your work, and be proactive with handling responsibilities.  You will also need to have a true passion for providing outstanding customer service both internally and externally.  Below are some proven skill sets, behaviors and personality traits that we look for in a successful Customer Service Representative:

  • MUST have a very strong work ethic
  • Ability to prioritize your work everyday, and complete top priorities on-time
  • Ability to learn and adapt to technology quickly
  • Open to receiving regular constructive feedback relating to your performance
  • MUST have a very friendly, positive, professional and upbeat personality
  • A true passion for providing outstanding customer service at all times
  • Approach your work with the thought that you don't want to just do and complete a job, but you want to do and complete a GREAT job!
  • Strong tendency to always exceed others' expectations
  • Significant ability to multi-task detailed and complex work
  • Bonus points if you are bilingual Spanish!

*****You will be expected to complete and attain your 440 CSR License within your first 30 days as part of the expectations for this position.  Darr Schackow Insurance will cover the cost of this License.*****
